Thai jewelry pieces were produced and many times were purchased by service people to send to their loved ones. . Called "Niello" or "Nielloware", this jewelry is created by carving a design in the Sterling Silver. Hand wrought each piece would have their sections carved and then filled with a sulfur/metals powder, and baked. Most pieces are silver and one other color. THis brooch is gold over sterling with many colors of baked enamel. This is signed on the back Sterling Siam.
These Goddesses were characters in an ancient epic legend called Ramayana.
